For today's artist I picked Mattias Adolfsson. This artist from Sweden is responsible for making my most favorite album artwork I've laid eyes upon. Mr. Adolfsson made four different works of art for the band "Dance Gavin Dance" who, much like the work, is a mixture of very complex, detailed elements and other things that just come from left field. Adolfsson pays very close attention to detail and making works that defy gravity and perception. Most notable are his works dealing with buildings and how he incorporates housing structures into places they

don’t belong such as a 747 plane or, for the Star Wars fans out there, the Death Star. His playful take on everyday life can almost play as a satire on society where in one of the paintings animals are looking at one lone human like he is an exhibit at a zoo or where animals are driving flying cars and humans are flying on animals. I highly recommend looking at his work and giving the band a listen and just see how well both elements work together.

This beautiful painting comes from the artist Sally Khoury. Her mixture of vivid colors, pop culture, and abstract design gives off a very "stuff of dreams" feeling. Her work is very bold and straightforward and makes one appreciate the simplicity and can't help but marvel and relish at her work. What I personally like about her work; well her style per-say, is the detail to the face. It has an angelic look to it and the abstract flurry of swirls grounds the work to reality. Like an angel with it's wings cut off. I linked her website to her name where you can view her other works as well as make purchases.

All works belong to Sally Khoury.

Artist Elijana Forto is responsible for these paintings above. She likes to portray elements of sadness that most people feel at one point in their lives. She also puts a lot of her personality into her artwork and isn't afraid to go into those dark themes.

These specific paintings caught my attention because she shows the girls personality though their eyes.

That feeling of desire in wanting to shout and be heard. The expressions shown on these girls faces are of  lonesomeness and helplessness. Not only does Eilana Forto paint she is also a photographer. What I found really unique  about her artwork is that she likes to combine her art and her pictures together to create a better masterpiece to add to her amazing work.
