"The information right there just blew my face off..."
Have you ever had a moment
where everything is just plain old...well...normal?
Nothing exciting going on and
then
WHAM!!!
Amazing-ness hits you in the
face with such a force it knocks you off your feet. That was my reaction when I
saw the work of Taka Sudo. I can’t find any way to describe his work other than
pure adrenaline rush. The works usually feature animals or skulls crying or
screaming either in anger or just pure energy as portrayed behind the headshots
of whatever subject is in focus. There are words placed around the subjects
that one would use in everyday conversation or words that describe everyday
tasks such as “work.” And the burst of neon colors and the subjects faces gives
me the feeling that these works are encouraging us to break out from the norm
and find our inner animal and act in a very primal nature to keep us from going
crazy in our daily grinds we call life.
